Beautiful, visual lyrics… your voice sounds wonderful as always. I, too, am looking forward to hearing BlakeHT’s mix. Your vocals make my imagination soar… I can hear all kinds of remix possibilities…
This line: I am poet, you are verse I just love that… and relate. :))) |

I am always impressed when I discover every time one of your pellas. Particularly here, what leaves me sonjeur, for possible adaptation …. You graze perfection. This is just my humble opinion of course.

A little while ago I composed a soundtrack to a contemporary dance performance, including 3 feature songs. Originally the artist asked for pure instrumental, but after making my track I knew that it needed something vocally.
I stumbled across Sailboat and couldn’t believe how perfectly it fit - the song I made was to tell the story of two lovers who were fleeing a desolate land in search for somewhere to build a new life. Thanks for the beautiful song! |

“I’m currently on a memory tour of my career from 2008 to now. And your music, as well as the music from ccMixter, had and still has a tremendous influence on my life. Back then, I published my music under my real name with you, and that was at a time when YouTube was only two years old. In 2009, I was job hunting here in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. At that time, no one could make sense of my music that was everywhere to be found. The only ones who responded to my job applications were the tech-savvy Americans from Robert Half. I still remember sitting in the Deutsche Bank Tower for the interview and being interviewed in English by the American Sarah Ghane. I recall that as a tax expert who supposedly spoke fluent English, I didn’t even know what ‘invoice’ meant in English. But otherwise, I managed, and my accent must have convinced her. Anyway, I was there for a few months. And what was the secret to getting that job? My diploma and my music. After all, they could find the singers from my remixes. Real living people from America, England, and all over the world. That was and still is something very special. Thank you for that. And now, 17 years later, I’m remixing ‘Sailboat’ and putting it somewhere on the internet, on YouTube and elsewhere. You’ll surely find it. I thank you, ccMixter.”
