This is not only my favourite Beethoven composition, it is my favourite piano piece of all time. What a treat to hear you perform it!

You may have seen my repeated reviews saying that what I value most in music is hearing the human/emotional element of it. It’s possible to make that come through even in computer generated and manipulated music but it is most evident in music played live on acoustic instruments. There the organic nature of the instrument is there to contribute too.

Last year was my daughter’s first in her high school orchestra. When I listened to them perform I remembered how much I was missing in listening to mp3s as I haven’t been out to hear live music much lately. They had a festival with lots of orchestras and the sound was just wonderful.

Too many words perhaps, but thank you for sharing this…a very human performance executed beautifully.

I love this composition. When i listen to this melody, time stops for a while. I remain speechless, and I can not help but listen.

Excellent performance, bravissima
