I agree; great choice of pell. Love the string section and glitchy feel and the way it sweeps my ears forward like facing away from a cold wind.

I love the way this builds. I’m really lovin Kaer’s vocals on this pell it has so much character.
The strings and that Kick really grab me, but when the snare come in….Wow. Really nice build.
Well done Scott.

This song is full of feelings. It is in some way nostalgic but not sad. Love the melodic piano in the vocal pauses. Well done Scott

I absolutely love this, and I admire how you take something very rhythmically different and transcend.
Beautiful.

I’m glad. Always a win when the singer likes the work. Thanks for the great pella. The ideal words to end my year with.

Really nice arrangement that takes the song on a great musical journey.

I felt the various levels could have been moved up and down at times to emphasise the individual instruments more and Colabs comment on KT’s vox is probably caused by the need to cut the high end a little to remove that piercing effect.

Still a great mix with some lovely touches.

Thanks RT (named after the popular english TV guide right?… the christmas radio times was always the highlight of the year… circling the christmas specials and what not)… Ok so I’m side tracking, thanks for your words as always and also your constructive feedback. Do let me know which specific instruments you feel need boosting volume wise and I’ll reduce the high end on the vox also (Colab / your comment)… I’ll do another mix down. Cheers!

Hey this is your mix so don’t feel that my opinion needs you to change anything unless you really want to. You can see by the response to your mix that its well liked and my comments are just my personal thoughts. Don’t make ‘em right!

However as we are talking I would have moved the faders up and down on various sections of the synth strings to give a more swelling effect which emphasises there presence but also reduces their overall levels. Also I would have taken some of the drum parts out here and there just leaving some percussion. This also breaks up the sound but still leaves the beat.

Anyway as I said it’s your mix. I’m just being fussy and interferring!!

Another perspective on a mix is always kindly received… Means I can take it into account next time…
With using just VST’s and cruddy apple ipod earphones, i have to rely on my spidey senses to get the mix levels and EQ balance correct each time… so any pointers is a bonus… Its certainly not fussy or interfering… Cheers guv!
