Shades of Nightfly and other west coast flavours.

I like it a lot. One of the difficulties of mixing the romancito pellas is that there are not a lot of words / melody to hold onto and this could do with a few more. But i like the idea.

I can’t hear enough of Ms Melody’s voice. And I’d like to have a little dancette with you to this one: you in shirt with the sleeves rolled back (not short sleeves, remember) and shades, me in a strappy number but with a woollen vest to keep my chest warm. It’s a lovely mix, Scombers. xx

I was sitting at the bar, my face in my cocktail, lost to the world around me, until the combo started playing — I looked up. Oh! It was Scomber and Melody. I feel so much better now.

Scomberfresh, thank you so much for the remix with the atmospherics. How lucky you are to live in a place with a jazz club — and one with an open mic night. I can almost hear the next trio tuning up in the green room. It’s so interesting to me how you all can take such different tempos, melody lines and feels and sew them together into fresh, coherent cloth.

it was great having a front row seat to hear two of my favorite jazzers tonite. everything on the track sounds great!
