Fabulous. You’re in a class of your own — your musicality, originality with solid roots in traditional musical forms but a foot somewhere else entirely, so that whatever you do has your own distinct stamp. And then of course, there is your voice which is like warm syrup — just so sweet!

how astute of you to notice that I only have one foot in this world! And thank you for the kind comments and keen observations.

To listen to your voice is a gift It’s just fantastic. Jurgen’s bass clarinet plaing, what can I say, he is so musical. Anything he does sounds so natural. Your voice and the bass clarinet go so well together. A match made in heaven

Your voice, Jurgen’s playing, the lyrics all add up to sheer bliss for the listener. A truly outstanding piece of work. xx

Thank you Ciggi. It was so exciting to hear what Jugen had done with it. Turned a grain of sand into a pearl.

when I entered the clarinet and the saxophone was played to me almost off the air - so good is your singing. Only with great self-control I brought it to end. Also listen to the bass, was a great pleasure. Greetings the Bear. Thanks for taking me to this wonderful song was played.

warmly Jürgen

The song was waiting for you all this time to help bring it to the light of day, Jurgen. Here is to more collaborations. I’ll tell Raymond how much you like his playing.

unfortunately the vocal was done live with the guitar. I’ll see what I can do to upload a vocal version, but the recording quality (and most likely the performance quality) will not be nearly as good.

I like this. A lot. The vocal performance is just great, and the pacing is terrific.

I will be the odd man out to say that the clarinet/sax is actually a bit too loud at times and almost overtakes the other elements. Lovely playing though, so …

:)

I think you’re right! It took me away. Your honesty is good.
I will propose a different mix. I lower my head and if it wants Calling Sister Midnight - the volume. But it is her songs - she is the captain.

warmly
Jürgen

Best thing I’ve heard here for a long time! The instruments are traditional but the way they have been put together is great. I actually like the horn levels so there we are!

Excellent. Agree that this is one of the best live tracks I’ve heard on cc. Really well done

Sweet! Got some touches of Electric Ladyland and other old school grooves. It swings nice and blue
