Being forced into a corner, hunted but still in love is the topic of Lisa’s lyrics (as I understand them) and translating this into the beauty of the universal blackness with what beauty is uncovered once “the eyes are adjusted to darkness” is kind of brilliant. At least that is my interpretion.
