Contains a lot of nice ideas.
Sometimes there seem to be slight clippings in there. There are some notes whose pitch needs to be adjusted a bit which is much easier without reverb. So if you could remove the clipping and the reverb this would be a really inspiring thing.
I like the lyrics. Fit very well in my own situation. And I guess in many else’s …

Glad you like the ideas in the song. Yes, I’ve been plaqued by clipping, although I think there is less on this track than others I’ve posted. I have a really cheap compressor/limitor that I rarely use because it’s noisy and colors the sound badly. I think my next purchase may be one of those Really Nice Compressors I’ve heard so many good things about.

I was wondering if my recording space would ever turn into a problem. I didn’t add any reverb; anything you hear is all from my recording space (the corner of my basement). I do have plans to eventually find some ways to address that (cloth-covered insulation panels, etc), but not sure I’ll be able to do much about this in the near term :(.

I guess, unfortunately, we’re hitting on some of the tougher challenges I have to face if I’m going to post usable ‘pellas. I’ll try to work on it, but it will take some time.

Glad you like the song….thanks for listening….. .. .

Awesome vocal. It’s got this “Don’t give a damn what you think, this is what I want to sing” quality to it. I’d been wanting to do something with it for litterally months, and I hope I honoured the spirit of the song.

Not to sound too cocky or anything, but I’m pretty confident you’ll like what I came up with.
