I’m a quite tall guy (around 1.85m) but I’m using a bass drum lifter to have approximately the same kick height of a normal drum. The toms are still low, compared to a classic set, but many drummers like to have them low and flat (as I do). Then I use small sized normal cymbals to balance the volume and the original 8” kids hi-hat as a lo-fi hi-hat. I bought it for small pubs sessions but I like to record it for its small original sound.
