This is one of those songs that goes nowhere exciting. Does not stretch the old grey matter at all. Sounds like a lot of other stuff done before…….BUT!!
It’s still very very nice to listen too and a relaxing ride on a ‘69 Vespa through Patagonia. |

haha, man, that review is so refreshingly honest, and i totally hear what you’re saying here. honestly, i did think about breaking up the arrangement but since the structure of the pella is what it is, and i could have added a different bridge break to break it up, but i was lazy and having fun just playing along with CG’s vox and once i started recording it got too late to change it up much. but like you said, i can appreciate a good jammy 3 chord song as much as anyone, especially if i get to play along with it. and riding an old vespa in patagonia (or maybe paris even) paints a nice picture. :) thanks!

Well, you have solved the problem I’ve been having with this pella, which is that I cannot come up with some decent different chords for the chorus. I agree with Radiotimes. What seems to be the its weakness is also its strength. Uncompromisingly straightforward.

as i played along with it, i realized the chorus is the same as the verse (D/C/G) only you stay an extra 4 on the G on the chorus and an extra 4 on the D on the verse, but otherwise, it just repeats, even when she does her little vocal shift thing. like i said, it wouldn’t have been that hard to cut the arrangement somewhere in the middle and throw in maybe something with an F and A minor maybe, i hadn’t given it much thought, but the opportunity is there. i like how it came out, but it could also definitely use some sort of shift. thanks man! |

hehe - my chording of this was generally based on the same concept (also in the same genre vicinity) but I threw a couple of extra one’s into my remix :-)

Burl Ives used to say ;
” A good song only needs 3 chords , 4 at a push! Any more and you’re in trouble!!” |

Ah, now I see where I constantly go wrong.
Well, I have tried the D/C/G chord progression for the chorus and it works, but it doesn’t seem to sit well with my Dm/F/Am/C for the verse (which I want to keep). |
