Glitch is one of my favourite genres when its done right and you’ve hit the mark with this one. There’s a lot of artists claiming to be glitch when they just retrigger samples… there’s more to it than that as you’ve proven here. There’s an atmos created that the clicks and pops are there to support (instead of being the main event like most glitch mixes I hear here). I like the almost convergence to cliq hop also (a touch of bit crunched rap or something would sound cool). Anyway, nice mix.

Thanks! Really glad you like the track, and thanks for the welcome too!

Yes although I use the Glitch VST there was a lot of hand editing and programming that went into this - not just on Glitch but on the tracks, even though I use a midi controller I like to zoom in and fine edit stuff by hand.

I’m enjoying checking out your mixes too, very nice tracks!

The inventive use of glitches here adds to the mystery of the track. I guess this is what Scott was referring to - the noises aren’t annoying here, they’re the thing setting the mood and ambiance.

I agree with both Scott and the good Admiral. Very nice use of effects - to enhance the track rather than distract from the source materials.

Welcome to ccm - hope you’ll stick around for a bit, because this is a great sound.

Thanks everyone! Yes I plan on sticking around, I’ve been very glad to find ccMixter as I’ve been a supporter of Creative Commons in my own work for a long time.
