This is very good. I very much admire your ability to keep a track simple when that’s what’s needed - and resist the temptation to throw more things in it.

And so I will resist the urge to say more than that. :)

Simple would be my middle name, except my middle name is actually Howard. :).

I drew correlations between your music and the narrative voice, particularly at the point where Hektor states “this is the oasis of dreams” and the soundscape suddenly became dreamier, surreal and expansive holding Hektor’s voice and allowing me to follow it.

I do not know if you are familiar with the work of Joe Frank — he used to do a radio show where he read his stories to ambient music that was often as interesting as the stories themselves, well matched to the story so that the music enhanced the story, highlighting the themes or the flow of the recitation. This track reminds me of that, in the best possible way. I look forward to the next track in the series.

I used to love that Joe Frank show. That’s high praise! I like backing spoken word, because the interaction between idea and sound can be so much fun. Thanks!

I like Gurdonark-I LIKE. You are terrific with sound effects and mood setting. The couple times you’ve treated my stuff, you always tap into the right mood. These contraptions get turned into all kinds ‘o tunes; and that is [of course] always groovy… but is refreshing to see how you strip down a performance to it purest form in your ambient mixes. Is interesting how your sountrack almost follows a state of inertia, brilliantly matching the dramatic material. Can’t wait to be treated in such cinematic ways again!

Thanks! I think the advantage and the disadvantage of my music is the same—it’s basically a simple, ambient/minimalist style, with a few bows to noise. I’m grateful when, as here, people enjoy the mood I try to achieve, as aiming for a mood or background is really the only aspiration I bring to what I do.

Your tracks fit well with what I do because they have a kind of emotive quality submerged in the text, a combination, usually, of irony and real emotion, and the backings can sometimes key into that. Thanks for such kind words.

Genius.. really impressive atmosphere. I’ve read the lyrics, and i think that i understand the most part of the story.Your music added to those words is perfect.
