Lovely track. I admire you for not using beats. A very open and sweet sound you’ve created here.

Thanks! I will have to watch those sweet melodies, because I will lose my card-carrying dark ambient noisemaker union card.

Thanks! It was a great vocal sample from which to start.

The melody is real cool, fits well with the feel. I just wanted a beat to drop and some serious vocalz to kick in.

However, I did enjoy this one. Meaningful emphasis throughout.

you know M..the backing, Rhodes-like track actually has a really strong riddim going for it.

I love that my little sawcutter virtual synth lets a sample of a group of school children from the Ukraine sound like a Rhodes!

I played with this beat or that beat for a long time, out of the same feeling. So often, though, I like either a minimal sound or a discordant atmosphere, so I ultimately kept this one (hopefully deceptively) simple.

Cool work G…as noted, the sample establishes the rhythm..plus it’s in a “happy” major key, which plays off nicely against Kcentric’s voice..sorta like happy faces swimming around the gray polluted cubicle. I wanted the modem to be in there before he actually got to the beam me up part, but..whadda I know..

let’s make two movies.

I think you’re right—it would have been really cool to tie the modem down just before “beam me up”.

It would be fun to make a video of this one, and of your recent chill take on Suzi Q.’s piece.

thanks for commenting.
