Well, that, plus the original goes through a big build-up and key changes, etc. as per a monumental power ballad, and I was hearing a softer starker feel, sort of “I can’t make you love me” meets “nothing compares 2 u” meets the Wailers,or something like that… I know, I’m an odd “duck”, my eyes are bigger than my stomach- I would be thrilled if you put your hand to this!

Some of my favorite were from a series that featured identical red covers with yellow graphics. These albums had many songs on them arranged and mixed just like this — clean, spare and cheerful. Thanks for pointing me in this direction!
