Good… And quick work my workaholic friend ;)!
Love the first part of the track with its “old school” drums, that really works with Starkey’s flow. I am not a 100% sure about my own feeling in the second part (the fast one) I like it but I think Starkey’s voccals arent synched at the begining… Or it’s just because it’s the first time I listen to him in that type of beat…But the track construction is interesting… “Multi-dimensional” (dont know if it’s a word!) Thanks for remixing it! |

heh..it is jarring after the 1st regular beat, but that’s a little intentional, I notice both rock and rap tracks are favoring more abrupt transitions in perceived tempo or style these days, anyway i didn’t stretch or pitch-shift the galactus bit at all, just chopped and placed…
I may try a re-do on it, thanks for the feedback! PS …WHO’s a “workaholic”, mr. “90,000 tracks and counting”? ;) |

That was surreal. I like the idea of splitting the track up into two styles. Good work!

Just an idea to try here is trying to find as many postitions, left right front back and in between to place a vocal. i have mix elsewhere online if you need an example. Cut the lot up where you think it works an put parts in different spots so it all moves around.

Well, you caught me out on one of my lazy-inspired weaknesses- I have a bad habit of leaving a vocal alone (unlike, say, your surgical skill w/ “February”)as long as it sits relatively OK, and trying to let the track shift the perceptual dynamic; sometimes it works fine, but more patience, time and daring w/ pella remixes certainly couldn’t hurt- “over under sideways down”? Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate c&c like this as much as a thumbs-up…
