I like C. Layne’s vocals because they always inspire me to go to a different place. Apparently he has the same effect on you too.

The vocals could use some nudging I think but this is pretty slick. Reminded me a bit of ambient Chemical Brothers.

Thanks! Yeah, I was a lil lazy, but the vibe seemed to fit…

this is awesome! i can really get lost in this, especially with that droning guitar strum. the staccato beat keeps it grounded. the vocals could stand to be shifted in that part that teru mentioned, but otherwise this is sweet!

I think this is fantastic - very hypnotic. I like the way the panning gives a real spatial feel.

Thanks! After some memory-poking, I realized that “Dura Europus” from David Byrne’s “The Forest”, as well asa tiny bit of Primitive Radio God’s “Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand” influenced the vibe here…

That’s a come back!
That remix is strange but good… As usual!
It could be the intro of something more consistant, a great job but it seems to be unfinished.

thx IZ… I guess I think of it as scene-change music from an unknown movie ;)

the really weird thing about this remix is soon after posting, I got an email from someone I hadn’t heard from literally in years- and this person knew nothing of ccmixter or me being on it… strange days indeed…
