I think mix itself could use a little more attention to levels throughout (were the vocals compressed at all?) it’s hard for me to picture what the judges are looking for but the music as a backing for parts of a film would be perfect in my book.
	. permalink dj80hd Tue, Mar 14, 2006 @ 9:56 AM Thanks. I bought Sony Acid Pro 3 weeks ago and am still struggling to figure out the art of mixing and mastering. I did use noise gates and compression on most of the vocal tracks - but I mixed it mostly with headphones !!! Lesson learned. that is a bad idea !
