I’m astounded, Deb. Our poems are so similar I assumed you’d written yours in response to mine - until I searched back for your original After the Weekend.
And you’ve woven them together beautifully, as if the two protagonists are having their own conversations in their heads as they do in your poem. It’s a kind of collaboration I didn’t know about until it was over!

LOL, yes as soon as I heard yours (for the first time I might add) I thought how similar they were! I hope you like it. I didn’t have time to hunt around for a backing track so I used a piece by Soda that I like, but that I used for my video poem ‘The Search’ (on the Memory: Video Poetry DVD

This is a great concept - poetry mashup. Why not? Everything else gets mashed up.

I’m your piano player here. This Soda piece is a remix of something of mine.

Apologies Admiral! I should have looked at the history. It’s a beautiful piece! I’ve put things right now.

Thanks for your piano contribution Admiral Bob. And why not mash up poetry? Sometimes others can see the strengths in our stuff and re-present it in ways we could never have imagined. That’s what ccMixter’s all about I guess!

Thanks Donnie. Perhaps Rob and I could write some extra stanzas.

Yes, yes, yes… This is a massively winning concept that should continue to be explored. This piece is a perfect example. The panning of both voices is very effective.

Thanks Kara,

Perhaps Rob and I could write some extra stanzas and explore the idea further.
