Remixing vocal tracks has two main important steps (for me) 1st. tunning, 2nd. time (sync) those two makes the vocal sits on a music bed. The voice is coordinated, in sync, but the music is out of tune with the vox, so the vocals end up sounding as a simple mashup between 2 different different songs, no coherence.
When you got tune and timming you can integrate the vocals adding similar spaces (reverb) and playing more between the music giving places to vocals like a dialogue, that helps too. Try to find the key of the vocals and use that key in your track, the improvement will be huge, Anyway, good try. |
