Hey Caleb. This is a nice soft mix of shannons pella. Vocal placement is spot on. Production is also very good. I especially liked the accoustic ‘solo’ melody introduced around 2/3rds in.
One small suggestion, if you want to attract more listeners to your mix, try mixing a pella thats had less attention. Shannon is one of the most mixed vocalists on the site and the regulars here may be put off giving your a mix a try because they’ve heard most re-incarnations of this vocal. That sounds negative, I do like your mix, I just feel you need more attention than you may get… Keep em coming squire :-) |

Thanks for the encouragment. Yeah, that song has been remix 9 ways from Sunday. I just heard it yesterday for the first time. A bit late to the party as some might say. I thoroughly enjoyed admiralbob77’s Featured remix of it and tweaked it a bit. I am not expecting mad traffic, but it’s a good start.

beauty is beauty, enjoyment is enjoyment. Me too, I am remixing Calendar Girl who posted her acapella 2 years ago and has been remixed nearly 400 times. I can confirm what scott writes, I am not receiving much attention. Still, I think newcomers may find old things beautiful and be excited about them. If we enjoy what we do and produce something beautiful, why not. This is a beautiful remix and deserves attention, I am particularly happy to add my recommend hands on to that of scott for this good work in the shadows of ccmixter. Keep on, caleb!

Hey Guys,
Quite right Carosone… Usually the reason the pella providers are mixed so much is because their material is soooo good (I’ve totally done a Shannon mix). At the end of the day, its not about the recommends or reviews, do what you guys do, I’ll certainly be reviewing your stuff :o) |

really a nice mix. clean analog/electro marriage that sells the song well. on the issue of listenership, if you scan the catalogs of some of the top re-mixers there are tons of songs w/ 0-4 rec’s. you never know how many people really listen to a mix or what effect it had on them. the important thing is the doin’ & growin’ part.
