Another “ready for soundtrack” remix! Your style is distinctive and easily recognizable. I would love to use more of your material, but I have a small hurdle that keeps holding me back: Many of your stems have other Mixter’s material in them. I am reluctant (too lazy?) to chase down the attributions that I feel should be offered in my remixes of your stems. I think you are aware of the attribution issue, because you carefully word a disclaimer: “Inspired by and contains sounds from…” Not really looking for you to change your method, just wanted you to be aware that there is a reason I’m not using more of your stuff.

Thank you for the feedback and appreciation; as a relatively new member of this community, it is good to receive a heads-up.

My practice thus far has been to label stem files containing others’ sounds with their name (e.g., “Manipulated sparky”) such that the derivation histories for the remixes of which they are parts also indicate the sources of those sounds (e.g., “Ethereal groove” by sparky is indicated in the derivation history of “Ethereal Groove (Dissipation Remix)”
by Ben Blohowiak). I have yet to exceed two such sources in a given remix, and have tended to focus on only one (as in this example).

My understanding is that it would be appropriate to provide attribution to sparky and me if you used “Manipulated sparky.” In the case of this remix, there are eight other stem files that do not contain another’s (e.g., sparky’s) sounds. I’ve noticed that some Mixters will use such stems and attribute them to me (which seemed acceptable practice from what I could discern).

Anyway, that’s the past; I’m open to doing it differently in the future and welcome input regarding how I might contribute to the community more beneficially.

Great sound and clever use of source material!
It’s amazing to me that a spontaneous jam from over 20 years ago was forgotten about and then resurrected in 2023 to take on a new life.
Lovely stuff
