This track is funky, I think the rhythm and beats are great and work so well. This is a great example of what love about this site! I’ve never heard these lyrics expressed in this new genre - Excellent L

Thanks for the compliments!

I hope to get a lot more into making house stuff like this, it was definitely a lot of fun to make. I’ll try and get some more stuff like this going over the summer. :)

The bassline just fits in so well with everything. the vocals sound great as well, good job to both of you Ultralisk and Leza2unes.

Yeah, nice. Sounds very retro (mid-90’s or so), in a good way I mean .
A little additional production (FX, EQ, compression, more elaborate drums…) would make it sound far better, but you can gather those skills with time.
The bassline is pretty catchy, and definitely has that classic “speed-garage” sound. Is it sampled or original?
Keep up the good work!

Awesome feedback, man. This is the stuff I like to hear about it.

I’ll play around with some drum parts (especially the hats), and I may do some other little sampling bits. Effects-wise, there’s really not much I did other than some chorus on the vocal track (and I really need to bring it down in some parts).

I’ll keep tweaking it and see how it turns out. :)

Oh, and as for the bassline, I layered “Garage Bass 2” and “SubSonic” on the Juno-G to get the sound, and just hammered out the bassline myself. I find that those two sounds just go so well together.
