This is terrible. Nothing fits together. House-music is something totally different. You have to built up tensions. Built up the groove. First the bd than sd or hi hat etc. The vibes are so incredible terrible. Just try to tune them on the rest. Leave the tambourine out. Try to hear if something is in tune. Specially in house music you also have to tune the bassdrum to the bass. (For example: Bass is a-minor an g-major. Tune the bd in A, E, D, C tryout - whatever - try again)

:))) ok if you say so :P I’ve listened to hundreds if not thousands House songs from classics deep chicago house to this years albums and compilations of some of the best producers and i also produce myself House for some time so i think i know what House is! I personlay like this one and i don’t think that is so terrible! :)) I think the vocals are great and my mix it’s built to fit the vocals. Not all House productions have that "progression": first bd then snare , hat and the rest of the instruments. If i want i can begin with synth or with the bass or with the vocals there is no problem if i do that. If all the House songs would have the same begining then in house music will not be any originality and all songs will be the same. I personally like how this one sounds , maybe it is not the most danceable song i’ve made by now but i really enjoy listening to it. This song has a nice flow and all instruments are built around and supose to fit and communicate with the vocals! The "tensions" in this case are built a little differit: first the percurssions , then the vibes , then the vocals , then the synth and then the bass. So what if i didn’t put first the bd and then the clap , snare , conga , hat … ? The vibes are so incredible nice. This is a simple mix with simple instruments , not to many , and thats why i think it is great! [It dosen’t have to sound like other house songs in fact my ideal and intention and perhaps any musician has this ideal to make unique songs and sounds and of course you don’t have to like it!]

yea there are no rules, just how you react (and I guess how you react to reactions)
I didn’t react well to this mix either, although I don’t mind the structure. For me the dissonance between the instruments was tough to take — it sounds like the vocals and half the instruments in are in at least two, maybe three different keys. The stretching on the vocals didn’t help either. You know, it’s easy to forget but review != validation. Just what I’m hearing. |

there’s a problem with electronica: the genres are absolutely insane. down to the meter, key, etc. it blows my mind. too many druggies have influence in the realm i’m afraid. :P
here’s a tip: accept generous advice with open arms. |

Loops are fine. Try pitching down the vibes loop a few semitone in your software.
