Mmmm…more of the Superstious keys. This time in the right channel. Overall very authentic & respectful true to the roots mix. I like how you’ve arranged the song from a stereo perspective (listening with headphones) Drums & voice at the center and the rest of the instruments panned to the left or right. That’s also a very typical early 70’s funk thing. Extra plusses for excellent singing.

The infunktion is spreading like wildfire! This is great Sir Admiral — reminds me of my favorites, The Temptations, in the sense that you added the social-awareness factor to all our funk fun. (Don’t need no flashlight to see the truth — great line!) Bravo!!!!

As always I LOVE your samples. I’m trying to get into music theory again… would you be able to tell me what scale this is in so I can work myself in somehow? Thanks!

The scale is called “the blues scale”, which is essentially a combination of the pentatonic major and minor scales, with a focus on resolving the 3rd between the minor and major 3rd.
