In all honesty I’m not very familiar with Bjork’s work. My Muse on this particular
piece was from listening to a composing team for Netflix: Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans.
State Shirt had already determined the lyrical mood—which I thought he completely missed with
the tone of his original track. The song (to me) is about spousal abuse. You just don’t carry that message
with a dance-able tune. I’m pleased that you were reminded of such a high calibre artist—even if I can’t take that credit!
