Very nice job — the delicate, melodic piano is the perfect foil for Lisa’s voice, and the spacious arrangement really lets the vocal and lyric shine. Bravo!

I agree. The piano is stunningly beautiful, and a perfect match for the vocals. Absolutely terrific restraint in not overdoing it.
I don’t love the sound of the violin - it’s a very nice melody, but the sound is just a bit too artificial, making it stand out against the nice piano sound. Unless of course it’s a real violin and I’m just full of it. :) Great, great track either way. Nice one. |

Mikael, First off thank you for the kind words. Second, I must say you are such a ccMixter asset! You spend so much time listening to everyones mixes and I truly appreciate your feedback.
I hear you on the strings, it was a single sampled string that I didn’t like so much so I tried layering it. I agree with you that it was the most out of place (and synthetic) element of the song. Thanks again for your time and feedback. Cheers! |
