Modern amplifyers often have a ground lift, you can plug the line-out in the pc. I have an old jazz amplifyer without ground lift, if I plug that in, there is more noise then now. It’s a struggle :/
	. permalink Doxent Zsigmond Thu, Aug 1, 2013 @ 12:20 PM Yup usually it’s a game of trial and error. Sometimes chosing a right audio interface can be a problem too. Generally those external USB should have less noise problems than internal soundcards. My friend has Maya 44 internal PCI and had problems with bass too but put a microphone instead and recorded from bass amp speaker.
