Not only is this a fine work of Europop combining both the commercial and arty, but your vocal additions sound remarkably like Bryan Ferry! I really like the dynamics in the last 1/3 where the beat kicks out for a bit and that filtered lead line is there.

I was doing my best not to sound like him, as i can do quite a good take off of Mr Ferry.

imagine that it’s ‘wear black night’ at the Vortex. soft blue faces glow above the undulating bodies. this comes on and a thousand cell phones appear, recording the moment for posterity.

As some of my friends would say: “This song is darn happening!” [downloading for keeps]

Thanks Ivan, I just replaced the mix with a new version with a few fixes and bass levels wise.

Hmm, very tasteful.
Fantastic “Sisters of Mercy” like synthesizer with a well developed Refrain. I also like the key change at the end, great work! |
.
It actually key changes 6 Times.

The modulation 3/4 way though kicks ass. Like Roxy Music on smooth ‘ludes.

Always an esteemed pleasure to have a Loveshadow mix. I love how you always “re-think” the pellas and twist and turn them into a new creation. The key transition was a really fun touch. A bit thanks to y’all from Texas! :P

ha! It’s all good ;). No but her heartbeat made it in! It’s at the very end of our song “The Best Part of Me”.

Really glad you are still dropping these mixes LS. Yours is a quality I can depend on.
Good to hear your pipes featuring, they never sound of place but add to the overall enjoyment. |

I’m so glad you featured the female vocalist from this trio, because I didn’t even realize she sang lead vocals. True to form, you don’t sound like you’re from Texas either, but you sound very nice.
I think it’s remarkable that as I was enjoying this mix I was only aware of how optimistic and happy it felt and missed most of the key changes. This thing works…end of story :-). |

The hook in the refrain is very effective. Europe pop flavour comes from that sawy synth, very well treated. WSD vocals are captivating, edpicker is right, but I would have “adjusted” it to pitch a little more. All in all, a careful production as usual, with attention to details and a lot to discover also at a second listen.

It’s a hit. I can imagine myself dancing to this. An achievement. Really really clever without being too smart-ish
