Man, you really found the heart within the body here. Quite the primal, hexing… spellbinding interpretation of the poem. A poem I now realize, after listening to your piece, seem to have written in brief simplicity but with much stupefied vehemence. Your vocal performance is ever faithful and thoughtful—I am truly honored. The whole piece reminds me of the very affecting treatment [not making a comparison with subject matter] of Ntozake Shange’s poem ‘Sechita’ in the movie For Colored Girls—with the tribal accompaniment and all. This is one I will truly treasure - Bravo!
