Having lived in Scotland for a while, I love and know traditional Scottish music. I’ve often thought it’s directly derived from the European Middle Ages. Gaudete was a track of the 1972 album by Steeleye Span, a miliar stone: they proposed an acapella exactly as Javolenus, but you built a Scot traditional folk arrangement on it and it fits quite well, it sounds like another Steeleye Span track with full instrumental. Brilliant! and you also highlight a rather undiscovered pella, which means you are digging into ccm deeply
