Beautiful. So clean and peaceful. I also enjoyed the video, I like to see how things work.
Are you playing an actual Mellotron? Or a sampled Mellotron? (Which I guess would be a sampler of a sampler.) |

Thanks.It´s a sampler of a sampler(NI Kontakt). I once played a real melotron in the woodhouse studio, where I sometimes work. The melotron is a analog sampler based on tapes. It was used by the Beatels, Supertramp and many more popular 60 - 80s bands.

This is really pretty. For those of us old enough to love progressive rock music, the mellotron is very, very special. I have a “mellotron” setting on my newest version of Garageband, but as with many digital forms of even electronic musical instruments (vintage synths, etc.) you still have to figure out the settings to get the sound right. Having had the opportunity to play a real one will no doubt have helped you a lot.
