The acoustic part at the beginning is rich and true like a mountain stream.
I’m not sure I quite as much like the organ and electric guitar break in the middle as much, but that is strictly my tastes. The rest of it, however, is very much to my tastes! |

Hi Admiral Bob. Thanks for this - I really appreciate your leaving feedback. That’s an interesting comment about the electric guitar break because I originally conceived the piece as totally acoustic. I added the electric stuff as an afterthought because I thought the track needed some contrast. But yeah, I enjoyed doing the acoustic bit. Thanks again.

The track enhances the sincerity of Silkword’s guileless poetry and performance. Soothing, comforting — While listening, I want to talk to my best friend about my hopes and dreams.

I actually like the electronic parts, though the acoustic setting is very rich without it. There is something foundational about Silkwords plain English — it resonates so wonderfully, given the backdrop you have provided.

Hi CSM and many thanks for taking time to comment - good to hear from you. I totally agree about the acapella. I was a little unsure about using a vocoder on Silkwords’ voice but thought I’d give it a try. I attempted to take what I thought was the essence of the poem and concentrate on that. There’s definitely some power going on in the original acapella.

Lovely. I think it’s a beautifully balanced track to go with the vocals. Very nice work.
