ThereĀ“s a lot of power in this mix. I really dig the dissonant chords. They are legend and as beautiful as the great magma- vulcano-monsters that spit lava into the void!!!
|
.
Yes, about the dissonant cords. I made it a point for them to be original. I tuned the bottom string of the primary guitar to a D. The others at random intervals, but still in concert tuning.
I love volcanoes, as I love tornadoes. I don’t like it when they kill. However, I can guarantee there’s nothing living on Io. Thanks, Hans Atom! |

I can hear Prometheus calling - top track
|
.
Hehehe…. I’ll bet that Prometheus wishes he could be on Io with his delicious liver and that bloody eagle that eats it everyday.
Thanks for your support, urmymuse :) |

Totally into this from beginning to end. What a ride. So very expressive. Molten even. Also the second half is great for sampling.

Thank you sir! The Babies do their best. They just get excited about astronomy, and especially volcanoes.
Lemme know if you need anything separated for sampling purposes. |

Whoa. The dynamic magma-tude (rah ha ha) of this track is celestial… The fact that a moon Jupiter inspired this much rocking completely… rocks.
|
.
Magma-tude! Hehehehe….. I did a whole series on Jupiter here on the site. First was the planet itself, then I started to move on to the moons. The thing is there are around 60 moons, so I lost interest in doing a full tour. I did a remix about the Great Red spot, though: my favorite feature of the planet.
Thank you Kara! |
|
.
Yesss… the Great Red spot is fascinating… I will have to check this out… How many moons out of the 60 did you cover so far?
|
|
.
MMT- Geez I can’t remember how many of the moons I hit on. 6 at best and I didn’t upload all of them, as they didn’t fit my mood at the time. I may have to revisit them.
|
|
.
Sounds like a fun concept album. I know someone who could court a moon muse with you… (typed out that seems weirder than it was in my head)…
|
|
.
Oh… you know someone who’s down with natural planetary satellites? There are other interesting moons in our system. I dig the asteroids as well. There’s a large belt of ‘em between Mars and Saturn, including a dwarf planet or 2. One of my favorite moons, is of course, our own Earthly Moon. It is beautiful in the sky, day or night, and has recently been shown to have substantial water reserves. If we could stop fighting as a planet and get at least a moon base together, I believe we could start moving out into space. We will eventually have to undertake this venture. We have a limited area on Earth, and limited resources.

Thanks, CSoul! The rock rarely stops with The Babies. I need to calm them down.

That you have a favorite moon in the universe is completely endearing. That your favorite happens to be particuarly hot, molten, spewing and dynamic is certainly played out in this track. Bravo!

Thanks Susan! Let it be known, I love Io. Just don’t tell Zeus, as she was one of his many lovers.

Great piece! We needed to create an ambiance of intimidation and the second half was best at it - you can judge by the video, we hope you like it! [https://vimeo.com/164627810]
