Excellent words well spoken. Easily conjures up a feeling, a day, a shared memory of a similar event that may or may not have happened. The music is appropriate and sounds natural, well mated. I like this a lot.

I like the reading/poem a lot too. Thanks for listening!

A sonically psychedelic AND beautiful trip (acoustic guitar and flutes will do that every time!). I appreciate how you used my spoken words and pacing at the beginning — it feels like you were sensitive to my phrasing and used it as the stepping off point for your exploration of the music into a garden of your own. Thanks for mixing me up!

SackJo22- You’ve got a swell style; and you are right; I did use your reading as my point of reference. I tried to compliment the words, and phrasing with my sound. Love your poem.

What a great piece. It sounds improvised (and I mean that in a good way) and it probably is. And I love those flutes. The funny thing is that I have been working with the same spoken word piece. I am just waiting for the last piece of the puzzle before finalizing the mix and putting it up here. I have to admit that your song does the spoken word piece more justice.

Thanks Sub for the favorable review. Can’t wait to hear what you’ve done with this poem. PS- watch-out for those right-wingers in the Netherlands. hee…..hee…. FB

The Heat Wave is very beautiful, both in terms of writing and delivery. I love the slightly eerie mood to your music. It really complements SJ’s piece.

Many thanks, CiggiBurns. I tend towards the eerie. It’s a thing I was either born with, or have learned to love. Glad you listened, and reviewed.

An example of how real instruments still have a lot to say…
BTW, are still the drums in the same room? |
.
I agree, Pitx; I’ll choose the real over the robot, almost every time; but not always. The drums are still back in the “no-man’s land”. I’ve a ride cymbal in my regular living area; as well as some shakers, and wot not. Thanks for dropping by. :) FB
