Nice arrangement and nice job of making electro pop from rock. (Although there does seem to be some ‘room for improvement’ with the levels and overall volume.)
I had no problem finding Hans’ upload. Just go to ‘edit sources’ on your song page and select ‘title’ where it by default says ‘artist’ and type in ‘where you are now’. It’s third or fourth on the list of results. |

Hi thank you so much for your feedback and your advice for finding the upload :) It is my first time using this site so I wasn’t too familiar with it. I’m honoured that you like my remix and I will try to improve on my mixing skills. Thanks again!

Nice remix with a lot of good ideas. Love the synth-melodies you added, sounds a little bit like the Cure and I love the harmonies you chose in the end a lot.

Thank you so much! I’ve also received your email about your feedback. I’m very thrilled to know that you enjoyed my remix as I really loved your version of ‘Where You Are Now’ and was hoping that I at least did it some justice with my remix :) You’ll definitely be hearing some rock tracks from me some time, as Rock and Metal are my main genre and I’m actually quite new to the Electronic scene. Once again, thank you for taking your time to listen and comment~

a couple of good tips to remember are (1) gain adds detail. . and 0db on your VU meter still gives you 8db of headroom before you get distorted. so run each sample hotter B4 you EQ or add effects or noise reduction and you’ll get a more focussed track.
(2) when you mix tracks don’t go over 0db for combined track volume and you’ll have headroom to spare. (3) using a good free preamp like Ferric TDS or IVGI will give you gain-compression-bass cut off below 100Hz-and a limiter in one plug in. your track sounds good! |

.
Thank you so much! I’ll try out what you’re advising, when I do another mix :) Would it be okay if I contact you, if I have any questions regarding headroom and preamps?
