Very, VERY nice, Mista Riley! You are quite wicked with that guitar - Aw heck, the whole vibe of the piece is splendiforous! That’s one of the things I so admire about ALL your stuff - you are quite adept at creating and sustaining a mood!

Very, very tasteful. Love that guitar. How many instruments do you play anyway?! Being home sick today with a nasty, nasty bug this was just the medicine! WOOF!

Thanks, ol pal. Hope ya get better real soon. I’ve found that about 5 or 6 o’clock the best thang for one a them flu bugs is 3 or 4 Bombay martinis. It’s the thinkin man’s NyQuil.

…and now he’s Dr. Doghouse, actually you’re right on with the whole stay away from certain night-time remedies thing… the only thing that works in it is the alcohol :-). Get well soon Lasswell or we’ll have to call you Lass-ill and that just doesn’t have the same panache :-). Now I’ll go and listen to what old flea scratcher done put up here …

Well Dog…I didn’t have any gin so I’ve been doin’ the Bloody Mary thing instead. Lots of hot sauce, horseradish, black pepper, garlic stuffed olives…and of course two shots of gluten free Russian vodka! At last a couple of those put me to sleep! Ah…I’m feeling better already!

Wail, now don’t be too hard on her there LS, ol pal. After all, she was drunk an all. And even then did a purty creditable job. And “what-you-talkin-about-willis?” as regards Mark Knopfler’s, and by inference I suspect, my hair? Why I’ll have you know that my only bald spot is on the back of my pate and the approximate size of a silver dollar (course I don’t know what in the good gawd almighty that might be in “foreign money”). 50 peeee? A quid, or somethin? Maybe even a farthing? You tell me.

And, hey, you know what else? Wail, I’ll tell ya…I love this here button that says “Reply to Yorself”. So I will. “Hey Doghouse Riley, you are one HI-larious ol jabbernow, you know that?” ” I bet you arent’ the kinda mega-international-supra-star that ain’t “accessible” or nothin. I bet you are the dang salt a the earth or somethin”. To which I would reply, a course, “Wail, I humbly accept yor assesment, Doghouse and must say I admire yor perspicacity in the extreme”. “And, I might add…Excelsior!!”

Wellllllllll (ha! beat you to a few consonants) I must say that this is one of my favorites of your mixes I’ve heard thus far. Maybe because it is not trying too hard to be cute or funny. There’s just some really good, sound playing and production. Great sound placement on this one too. Very nice work sir, very nice work.

D’House R’y,
this is really nice…melancholy, yet somehow hopeful…great production…the distant romantic strings give it some additional plaintive moodiness. Enjoyed it.

No, can’t say that I have, at that. Glad y’all got your hearts glued on straight; my ex would always get a mite sour if’n I got to workin’ on female vox. But then again, that’s parta why this drake’s flyin’ solo now (shrug).

I thought that I already have left a comment on here, so sorry for this delay.

My personal favorate part is the second half. I didn_t knew that you are such a great guitar player(I assume you played the guitar!?)
It keeps a wonderful mood that is indeed “Mark Knopfler” like but I also hear sort of “Sting” ballade.
A very chilling and tasteful track.

I didn’t know Carlos Santana was on this site!
Lovely & cool- and yes she does sound a bit slurry now that you mention it. But love the crisp, bordering on a little hokey, but just pure and skilled enough to be brilliant approach here.
The comments however, do tend to fall into a muckish hole that I think would appall Strunk and White. But they aren’t on this site, are they?

Hey Kaer, ol pal. I didn’t know Carlos was on here either. Where’d ya see him at? Ifn ya see him agin tell him Doghouse says “Hey!”. And, listen, is a “crisp” somethin ya eat, like a donut or somethin? Cause ifn it is I’d probly like one too. And I thank yor lookin at the map all wrong…Hokey is about 60 miles from here. My town borders on BeeBee and Bald Knob tho if that’s any help to ya. And finally, Strunk and White can kiss my rusty butt since that time we all went out drankin at Jimmy’s an they left me holdin the tab. Uh huh, 630 bucks worth ta be exact…not includin tip. They dont call em “Drunk Strunk” and “Tight White” fer nothin. You should take a listen to one a my other ol magnum opuses “Yor The Man, Natchoongi”. I thank that’s one you could hug up next to. Or is it?

Ya know Doghouse you didn’t give that gal much slack. Yea, I know Doghouse ain’t that just like me? Wail, I’m sorry ta say it is, Doghouse. Wail, maybe I should make it up to ‘er by doin a mix on one a her pellas, how would that be Doghouse? Wail, as you ain’t done it yet I couldn’t say Doghouse. As usual I cain’t put one past you Doghouse. Or can you?

Very nostalgic melody, and a clever choise of chords.
Love the amp driven sound of the lead guitar, very clean in the mix.

This is a truly great remix. I love the laid back vibe and the guitar riffs are fabulous. This makes me want to have a crack at a jazz version of this too! Well done Doghouse Riley - this is one of my favorites! xx
