this is amazing! i really like it a lot. you seperated the work of the bassdrum into short dry hits and lower, deeper hits, which is cool, but if you would increase the number of deeper sounding bassdrum hits to underline a certain kind of bouncyness, it would blow the roof! the Fort Minor flow is very nice, too, though I had the feeling, that 2 or 3 times there were small interrupts in the vocals, but I think you may just have to fade it a little, but anyway, this is very nice:)!!!

thanks for the review. good feedback, yeah…while composing, i kept playing around with the bass work and had it louder to try to give it something more but was nervous that I would make the whole thing too muddy/too much going on given that the sweepy synth is loud and pretty dominant. maybe i’ll tweak it and see what I come up with. i completely understand your thinking… it is a great suggestion!
Thanks, BLUE |

conceptually, a cool idea, and your production is solid. i am kind of wishing for a bit more sub-woofy love, and i read what you mentioned about muddiness, but that sweepy synth could be filtered and evened out volume wise. still, those are more like semantics here, this is very well done.

this is a pretty cool mix, the only nit is that it is very loud…
and it’s ruining the quality of the mix. remember sometimes lower is better.. but other than that this is a pretty tight mix. |
