Amazing. Not my favorite in terms of sound but as a demonstration in composition and talent this really, really shines.

Thank you for the comment… especially from someone with quite a good reputation around here, that means a lot to me, I appreciate it. :)

And yeah, I agree that some of the sounds are not the best in there…had a friend listen to it who said the distorted guitar could particularly use improvement, and I tend to agree.

Opening Piano is crazy! Strings are nice flip, even though the base is the original melody. Snare could of hit a little harder. I’m really feeling the idea of using a different part for each rapper, that was very creative and you def deserver credit for that.

As a “hip hop” beat it may not pass lol, but as an original piece of work and as a good piece of work you def handled your business.

Yeah, I’ll agree with that one too - I worked with what I had, basically. I would’ve considered recording some parts at least for the guitar myself if I had a good means of cleanly recording them; unfortunately I don’t. (And although I’ve dabbled in drums a bit, I don’t own a drumset. lol)

So yes, in a few ways for this remix, the ideas were there even when the samples/plugins left a bit to be desired. I was still rather happy with the result I achieved though ^^

Nevertheless, thanks for the comment =)

Nice work! Maybe some electronic beats and leads in the “rock n’ roll” part would have been better with real drums and guitar solos. This remix is original and arrangements are good!

I did feel just a tad lousy about just using the original chord progression, but I couldn’t think of anything else quickly and I wanted to get started on it (glad I did, since it took me quite a while to fully put together).

And about it not quite passing as a ‘hip hop’ beat… I suppose I wasn’t even fully aiming for that =p I was aiming to go on my own compositional impulses of what I saw in it, so that’s what I did =3 It was a fun experiment if nothing else, and I’m very happy at the feedback I’ve been getting, so thanks again everyone. =)
