Can you please, please, PLEASE tell me who is that sings that second vocal starting at 2:16 and ending at 3:40 ??
this song is kaleidoscopic, for sure … UN-easy listening? |

Well … there is certainly a lot going on here ;-)
It does capture that hot air baloon ride feeling quite well. Interesting for sure. |

I like the way that the instrumentation throughout this one is so varied and alive. I love the cut-up into the vocal samples melange in mid-song, although I think it would have worked better if it had been a 30 second or so break, and then ‘recovered’ into a return to the opening melodic themes. I’ve admired that Jovica drum loop ever since I heard it on freesound a good while ago,and I’m glad to hear it used well in a mix.
The vocals in the early going fit well, but each time as the stanzas wear on, the fit aesthetically is not to my ears as effective. I don’t know that it’s beat sync or key, but rather that the overall effect of vocals and music is not a fit. Still, I really enjoyed the inventive way of this mix, and it’s a good song. It reminded me of edgy pop from Manchester in the 1980s. |
