Lax-o-mat is more than a project of electronic music production. The members of lax-o-mat see themselves as a classical band, whose music developes only through the the different influences of the single members. This happens with the goal to bridge genre gaps and create varied songs, which are experimental, but catchy nevertheless. Oftentimes vocals from various guest singers flow in therefor. Usually in a first step they develop the tracks focussing on danceability, rhythms and grooves. Then they push the sound forward concentrating on the subtleties of moods and soundscapes.

The band’s fans describe their life performances as danceable aggressive electro. The guys see themselves as idm musicians open to inspirational touches from d’n’b, dubstep and dancehall music.

Members:
Uwe Spring, nickname “Keimling”, was born in 1977 in Chemnitz (germany), lives in Leipzig at the moment and works as a freelancer in programming. His musical roots go back to the tracker scene of the late 90ies. By the time he was influenced by a variety of musical styles. From Rock to Drum and Bass to Minimal. For lax-o-mat he usually develops the melodic composition. And he spends ours and ours, passionately bringing the dynamics of hi hats to perfection, whose subconcious impact is all too often underestimated.

Erik Pritscha is from Chemnitz (germany) too. He was born there in 1983. At the time he works as a fleelance sociologist in Berlin. He is experimenting with Logic Audio since he was 12 years old. He was strongly affected by the electronic music of the year 1997. From 2005 to 2008 he was operator in the “12 Monkey Sound System”, proving his formidable abilities as a stage performer in europe-wide bashments. His musical interests are focused on rhythms and their innovative structuring and composition. He hones the band’s sound.

Lax-o-mat ist mehr als ein Projekt elektronischer Musikproduktion. Die Mitglieder von lax-o-mat verstehen sich als klassische Band, deren Musik erst durch die ungleichen Einflüsse des Einzelnen entsteht. Dies geschieht mit dem Wunsch, Genre-Grenzen zu überschreiten, abwechslungsreiche und experimentierfreudige Songs zu schaffen, die dennoch eingängig sind. Häufig fließen hierfür Vocals von unterschiedlichen Gastsängern in ihre Produktion ein. Bei der Komposition ihrer Tracks steht oft die Rhythmik und Tanzbarkeit im Vordergrund, doch eigentlich geht es um die Verliebtheit in Sounds und Stimmungen. 
 


Fans ihrer Musik beschreiben ihre Live-Performance als tanzbaren Brachial-Elektro. Sie selbst bezeichnen sich als IDM-Musiker mit Anlehnungen an Drum’nBass, Dubstep oder Dancehall.

lax-o-mat, es un dúo proveniente de la tierra de Karl Marx, Chemnitz, Alemania.
Se trata de dos jóvenes open-minded, que quieren producir música que les gusta escuchar pero que raramente existe o directamente no existe en absoluto.
Entonces, combinan sus influencias (elektro, rock, drum&bass, techno, industrial, dancehall, …) creando golpes experimentales con sonidos especiales que realmente la groovean como el infierno.

Describir su estilo no es nada fácil porque puede variar mucho en una misma canción y absolutamente en todo el resto de las pistas.
