Acapella by snowflake, the rest is Reason heavily subdued.
Original Samples
Everything but the acapella of course. I been working on some new combinators in Reason for this one and reusing some of my old 'hacks'. The asian flare is a heavily destroyed REX loop. I tend to throw 1 in for the sample feels sake (old skool).
Process
I usually sit for a few days in the evening and sketch placing timbres alongside eachother. I then went into writing up a polyfonic melody for strings. Quite a lot of focus on that. The melody on strings reverberates down to most instruments as the melody on drums sets the tone for the base.
Other Notes
Working off my monitors switching to headphones, raining outside, much coffe. The start of the track lends some influences from listening much to Royksopps 'Melody AM'. Probably sums up my style well this as it has a beat feel but also a melody and some unexpected turns but not too wild.
