Samples I Used
I used one of my DiSfish songs off of the album "Implied Assertions", which is comprised of drones which morph human voice, a child's Italian Bontempi trumpet, and a plastic child's toy panpipe. I used a nose flute drone sample I created. My samples here were well-morphed in the IXI software beat slicing program Slicer.
Original Samples
I created two vocal samples for this work, which are all my voice morphed through pitch-shifting and time-shifting to create the vocal effect.
Process
This is a marriage of an ambient piece with pilot's drum piece, to which I've added vocal samples and a nose flute sample to leaven out the work. I had to adjust the tempo a bit here and there, particularly in the vocal sample, which I pitch-shifted from my range up a few notes, to shift gender, as well as time-stretching the longer sample so as to create the illusion of different sets of non-verbal sounds.
