How I Did It

by gurdonark
Tools I Used
IXI-software: Noiser
Audacity
Samples I Used
The three listed Darkroom (mactonite) samples
Original Samples
I altered the Darkroom (mactonite) samples.
Process
Noiser permits me to add three source sounds. I used a drum track, a Rhodes track and a piano track as the three sources to be altered by Noiser. Then I used a mix of restart and editing to create the chaos which is the final piece.
Other Notes
I always have mixed feelings about pieces which use dissonance and happenstance, because the results show their origin in the lab. But I also find that I learn a lot about sound from such experiments, however odd the results may be.
