Process
As non professional nor musician don't think of process, is there?,
However, for myself it always starts from the vocals and lyrics meaning.
Other Notes
Numbers, written by Kara Square, is sending a message about a deadly virus
effecting us all. Her approach over a touchy matter is reflected through numbers which is brilliant and true !!.
My goal was to energize and upbeat, without going overboard, expressing there light at the end of tunnel. the contrast between lyrics and score
rides a fine line and was quite challenging, doubled, maintaining Kara's vocals above sizzling highs and ranges of attitude.
After sweetening vocals and tracks base foundation, had problems
balancing dynamics with areas that were either too hot then soft.
Compression/limiting couldn't do the job and I literally had to custom edit sentences and single words using dozens of samplers enabling leveling.
