Samples I Used

The midis I arranged myself, Sackjo's acaps, the thunder at the beggining was from a Soundpool DvD of royalty free sounds (fx)

Original Samples

When I first heard the ACAP, I though it would make for a decent metal crossover. As I do typically with most acaps, I determine the key and notes of the melody of the ACAP and create a "Cantus Firmus" Then I apply counterpoint and make several species of hi, mid and low ranges. In this one I selected a low species for the bass, and the mid I took 2 mid species and split them, which created two guitar parts. Then I put in the dropped C 7th power chords to give it the heavy feel. The middle 8 there was a key change so I built that from scratch with cues from the lead vox, then built bridges to put it all together. I put in that little mini-solo for the 2nd guitar to add some variation to the ryth guitar cadence, (which right now after listing to it 10000 times that cadence sounds very repetitious to me).

Process

The middle 8 there was a key change so I built that from scratch with cues from the lead vox, then built bridges to put it all together. I put in that little mini-solo for the 2nd guitar to add some variation to the ryth guitar cadence, (which right now after listing to it 10000 times that cadence sounds very repetitious to me). I then made the drum parts using a sequencer, making a typical snapping bass and moved with two crash cymbals on each side. I had to offset the guitar's channels to fit their heavy freqs and carved out a well for the vox.

Other Notes

I wanted to make a hard hitting remix that kept the original "feel" of Susan's original remix of the song. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! PZ
