Process
Converted the OGG file (full mix) to AIFF with Audacity. Then imported to GarageBand.
Played WillemWillem's full mix in the background while I looked through the public domains poems. Found a few lines that matched the cadence. Decide to go with it, and experimented with rewriting a few lines as well.
Recorded my vocals using a cheap no-brand headphone/ mic set. Sounded pretty bad and had to re-record a few times. Then used my Macbook Pro's inbuilt mic to record the vocals instead.
Tweaked the treble and whatnot for the vocals.
Finally added the original bass stem to make the bassline more prominent.
