I recorded this using an M-Audio Microtrack 24/96 digital audio recorder and Sony ECM-MS907 stereo microphone, then edited it using Audacity 1.2.6. Editing was limited to cutting this selection from a longer recording, amplifying to the maximum extent possible without clipping, and exporting from the native WAV recording to MP3.
Other Notes
This beach put the idea of recording ambient sounds in my head, a couple of years ago or more. (I recorded and uploaded the sound of my dishwasher because it was a lot easier to get to!) I'm glad I finally got to it!
