Samples are used in:
Tools I Used
Macbook Pro.
GarageBand.
Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Standard.
Bass: Staag.
All instruments plugged direct to the Mac, using GarageBand in-built effects.
Samples I Used
GarageBand drum and synth loops.
Original Samples
Lead guitar, bass, vocals (distorted using 'Vocal Transformer' effect in GarageBand).
Process
Imported CASchubert's loop into GarageBand. Recorded a draft guitar picking riff. Arranged the track, deciding on where the breaks should be etc.
Laid the guitars, drums, bass. Added a synth part, just to see how it works out. Came about from mucking around with different loop effects. Decided to keep the synth portion.
Revised the arrangement again, to avoid the listener falling asleep from the repetition. heh.
Adjusted sound levels (unsuccessfully).
