How I Did It

Tools I Used
A party favor horn
Sawcutter 2.0 softsynth
Slicer 1.0 sample slicer
Samples I Used
The listed samples, plus a party favor sample I created myself.
Process
I sequenced the party favor in Sawcutter to create a melody, and then sliced it up in Slicer. I then added the various OLPC sample, shifting pitch and time and cutting them to fit my purposes. The percussion at the beginning is a looped knife slicing.
Other Notes
My goal when I began to write this song was to use a single abrasive note from a party favor horn to create something new and distinct. My end result was to bring to mind a recent incident that sparked my concern.
