It all started about 10 years ago when I woke up one morning and realised that I was a bit overweight.
A friend had told me about the “meaty bites” diet. Some of you may have heard about this before. It is essentially a perfect diet and the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Meaty Bites (a type of nutritionally complete dry dog food) and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. I was doing well for about a week then the next thing I remember was waking up in hospital with a drip and all sorts of tubes coming in and out of every orifice. I checked my chart and JOY!!! I had lost 20 kilo’s. That’s when I befriended my night nurse. One night after my sponge bath we were lying on my bed, the moon shining through the window, the scent of jasmine in the summer air - you know how it goes - when she asked me if I really did try the meaty bites diet and was it this that put me in hospital and in her arms.
