Hi Guys, in the interests of extending my knowledge on pop song theory I have recently been studying “pop” songs of the late Medieval/Renaissance period.
The lute was the slackers instrument of the era, a bit like the electric guitar 500 years later. (except if you were crap they cut off your head) The scales and meter have been sanitized for 21st century ears. What better way to earn a bit of personal perspective than recomposing some hooks half a millenia old against some classic Brad Sucks vocals. I probably should have gone for a Anchor pell, but here it is anyway. I’m progressively uploading the component instrumental parts(done now) for anyone out there who wants to experiment further and risk heckling by the court jester. There’s a midi version available on request if any one feels they need it. Give me some feedback please, I’m quite nervous about this one. Off to the Tower for me ;) PS reasonably straight 120BPM if any one wants to club it up a bit?
